Choosing to use the hand-made terracotta
bricks in one's house is without any doubt due to a renewed aesthetic
sense but also to begin intrinsically aware of the advantages
of the hand-made artefact compared to the industrial product.
Not only does the creftmanship guarantee a superior physical-mechanical
quality, but the superficial shades of the bricks make each artefact
unique. This uniqueness comes about at the early stages of the
production when the clay is mixed in such a way os to result more
porous, and this continues during the drying process right until
the cooking phase at 1000° C in order to safeguard the bricks
from frost and heat.
